Salvadorean Liga MB round 11 best performance: Marcus Feagin (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Marcus Feagin (193-G-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for Santa Ana, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 28 rebounds, while his team edged out Quezaltepeque (4-5) 103-99. Santa Ana is placed at 5th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Santa Ana is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. Feagin just recently signed at Santa Ana, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Marcus Feagin has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.8ppg) and averages impressive 41.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Freddy Asprilla (206-C-1988) of Santiagueno. Asprilla had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as Santiagueno lost that game 87-93 to the lower-ranked Chalchuapa (#10, 1-8). Despite lost game Santiagueno moved up to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Asprilla is a newcomer at Santiagueno, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Gorg Alhag (190-SG-1997) of Chalchuapa (#10). Alhag scored 22 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Chalchuapa, leading his team to a 93-87 win against the higher-ranked Santiagueno (#7, 3-5). Chalchuapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-8 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Alhag he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Alhag has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.1rpg (8th best) and assists with 4.5apg (6th best). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 50.5%. Alhag attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
